The Meaning of Fallen Leaves and Your Path….What's Your Take?
Now that we are in the Fall / Autumn equinox, today's quote made me stop and reflect upon my path, journey, life and what has transpired this past year.
Everyday, we make “choices”….MANY times each day….Do you ever reflect back on the choices you made and in hindsight see how your “choices” and actions have impacted your life? Hindsight can be an awesome tool because you can follow the path through to where your choices have brought you and how they all add up to your “where” now.
As we reach the end of a calendar year, reflect on what your goals and aspirations are for the new year. Maybe you need to keep moving forward on your path and goal….maybe you need to tweak your plan. Only You can answer that.
When I write about My feelings on certain quotes and inspirations, they are simply how they speak to Me. I would certainly like to know what they say to YOU! Please share your thoughts….
“Falling Leaves Hide The Path (So Quietly)” ~ John Bailey
After I had picked out this quote and started to put my thoughts together for this post, I asked Tim, “What the hell does that mean?” He laughed. I was on my own….
After some thought on my own life path and the steps taken, I still wondered how do fallen leaves pertain to that? What do they signify to me?
Here is what I came up with. I believe that the leaves are things, incidences, happenings, thoughts that have occurred throughout the year. When they fall as we go through the “Autumn” cycle, the trees become bare and orderly but what about the path that we are walking? The path gets covered with the beauty of colors, fiery red, brilliant orange, vibrant yellow. And there is also the plain, cracked, withered leaves of brown. Do these all tell a story of the choices, incidents and occurrences of the past year? Are the leaves covering our path because they make up the story of our life? Then how can I use what I have learned and move forward along my journey?
Even though my path is covered for a bit, I need to keep my eyes focused, in my direction, on the journey I want to continue and expand. Trust your inner guidance for balance and acuity. A path is never a narrow straight journey. A path is a meandering walk in a direction you choose. You do not always set the exact course…..it unfolds for you.
Look closely at the leaves covering your path, for in those leaves are great lessons about where you have been, the choices you have made and the direction you now want to go…. where you are heading….
Listen to the leaves falling ever so quietly, they are your story, your journey, your life. Thrill in the journey and if you need to step back and readjust your course….now is the time!
Does this resonate with you?
